New nail colours!

Yes I'm being very very lazy recently. Can't be arsed to renew my blog everyday so I only blog when I have something new to talk about. My life is so damn boring nowadays and I don't want to blog about craps everyday haha.

Anyway I bought new nail polish from SASA! They have such an amazing deals that I get nail polish at RM3.10 per bottle. The original price for the nail polish is RM3.90 and they have further 20% off! I wasn't aware of the discount when I dig around to choose for colours I like so I got like such a pleasant surprise when I pay at the counter lol. Ya so easily satisfied haha.

Anyway I chose some light colours this time, including pastel purple and light blue. The solution seems to be quite watery for the purple one so I applied like 3 layers to make it look solid. However the blue colour has no such problem and I can easily get the solid colour by applying one layer. Anyway, both colours are nice but I prefer the purple one more. Looks kinda cool and make my fingers look soft and pinkish haha. They are quite long lasting as they still look good after a week. So I'm very happy with the purchase haha.

This is how the colours look like.

I really love buying nail polish from Sasa. They have a lot of interesting and fashionable colour which makes me feel excited :) however u'll need to dig around to get a good bottle. Trust ur instinct when choosing the colour. Go bold!

Bamboo Fibre Towel

Ok. So today i'm going to talk about a souvenir my mum brought back from her trip. I'm not sure if that's an appropriate souvenir to buy from China but it is quite good in its job anyway.

And here it is, the bamboo fibre towel for hair.

It's actually quite convenient as it has a certain shape so you just have to wrap the towel around ur head and tuck in all your hair, then twist the towel in front as directed. Then pull the twisted part to the back of the head and tie it with the button provided.

What the bamboo fibre will do is it will absorb the water in the hair as quick as possible, after around 10-15 minutes, my hair is around 80% dry already. It has a similar effect as what a hairdryer can do. Therefore, it is a healthier way to dry the hair as overheating the hair with dryer can make the hair looks dry and easy to break.

However, this is just for normal day hair drying process lol. If you want to style your hair nicely, a dryer will probably do a better job, especially if your hair is very easily shaped and very hard to de-shaped like mine. Therefore, i still love my dryer, i usually blow my hair with the medium hot air follow by the cool air, which is very enjoying haha.

Anyway, i believe this is not a new product but anyone who haven't tried it can think about it =) If you don't like to use the dryer and think the natural drying process is too slow.

Olay Essentials Complete Care Day Fluid

Hang on there people, it's Thursday already! Start planning for your weekend =)

Well, as some people might know, the basic steps of facial care are Cleanser, Toner and Moisturizer (CTM) and today i'm going to talk about the 3rd step Moisturizer.

So, why do we need moisturizer? It is to protect the skin and also to keep the face hydrated. When your face is too dry, the skin will generate oil, which contributes largely to pimples and acne. Therefore, moisturizer is very important especially in cold and dry atmosphere, e.g. during winter. When i was studying in the UK, i experience the consequences of not putting on moisturizer and body butter. The skin on my arms cracked @.@ This made me realize that keeping the skin hydrated is indeed very crucial.

Well, today i'm going to talk about facial moisturizer, Olay Essentials Complete Care Day Fluid.
I find this product to be very suitable for me. The one i got is for Normal/Oily skin. Also, the fluid is with SPF15, which can protect my skin from the sun as well. The main reason for getting it is because it is a day fluid instead of cream. Therefore it is very much less oily and easy to apply. I'm pretty sure everyone love their moisturizer to be good at keeping the skin moisturized but not being too oily that people see the layer of oil on your face.

Extra point is that i only apply a very thin layer of the fluid which did its job for a whole day. Also, the smell is pretty neutral therefore good enough for me. Also, it is not priced ridiculously.

I've not searched for it in Malaysia or Singapore yet as my bottle is still enough for a while. Therefore i am not sure if it is available here or not. But please try to look for it at the Olay facial care counter and let me know if you can find it =)

Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Toner

Hola people!

I mentioned about applying toner to close the pores on the face last time and therefore i will recommend a toner product today =)

Applying toner is a very very important step in facial care. I didn't know it until i researched about facial care products few years ago. And when i was determined to take good care of my face at 21 years old, i realize i need a good toner to make sure i don't wash my face for nothing. I mean, just imagine, if you don't close the door after chasing someone you hate out, he/she will be coming back in again. And yes, in this case, the someone will be the dirt and oil that accummulate on your face.

So, what i did was like how i look for a good hand cream. I went to Boots and tried all the testers I was interested in at the facial care area. Why Boots? Because it has everything inside. It's like Watson or Guardian here.

Anyway, i found this one product - Garnier Simply Essentials Soothing Toner.

First, it is CHEAP. 200mL bottle pack for only 3 pounds! Second, the 3 NOs - no perfume, no alcohol and no colourants. Well, unlike hand cream, i prefer my toner to be as basic as possible. For people with sensitive skin, this will be suitable for you too as it will not irritate the skin. Third, it claimed to be enriched with soothing water lily extract and Pro-vitamin B5 therefore providing the soothing effect.

I've tested it at the counter and it does provide a refreshing feeling after applying it. Unlike other toners that contain alcohol, it doesn't tighten the skin like i'm on Botox or something. Also, it doesn't make the skin feel oily when you apply it. I literally feel like I'm applying plain water on my face, no irritation or anything. However when the toner is absorbed, it does make my skin feel smoother, which is the effect that i am looking for.

I've tried to look for it in Malaysia/Singapore, but i couldn't find it. When i look at the bottle, this product is produced in Poland and therefore I guess it is only sold in UK or other European countries. Which is VERY disappointing as I have almost finished this one and only bottle i got. I went to look for other substitution in a lot of places but doesn't seem to find anything similar. All toners i found here are all very heavy and give the oily and skin tightening feel. I'm guessing the market here is different from the European countries.

Please give me a shout if you know anywhere to get it in Malaysia/ Singapore!

Short update: Just found out i can get it on a website called echemist.co.uk. They do free delivery to a lot of countries so the price won't be ridiculous! =)

Garnier Nourishing Hand Cream With Mango Oil

Hi all, today i'm going to share with you a hand cream which i use.

First of all, it is NOT the famous L'occitane hand cream. I know a lot of people are using L'occitane products. I know they have very good reviews, in fact a lot of my friends use them too. However, i find the price to be above my budget so i spent time to look through and test a lot of hand cream products in the largest Boots store in Manchester city area before i came back to Malaysia.

Anyway, a lot of them are tend to be more like a lotion (which contains less oil) instead of cream. Lotion will make you feel good and less oily but if you really need moisturizer, you should find a cream as it's more oily therefore will be able to create a barrier to prevent water from escaping from the skin.

Also, i will try to find something with a nice scent. Some of them have no scent at all, which might be suitable for medication purposes or people who don't like artificial scent. But for me, as it's just for casual use, i will prefer to get something that i like.

So, i found this Garnier nourishing hand cream for dry and rough hands. It contains L-Bifidus and Mango Oil which helps in keeping the hand moistured and smooth. Also, it claims that the hydration is so intense that the skin will stays hydrated even after 1 hand wash. And i have proved that to be true. Therefore, it will be convenient for people as you don't need to reapply the cream everytime you wash your hands. It also has a nice light fruity scent which makes my hands smell nice.

There are 3 types of hand cream for different hand conditions. So depends on what you want, you can get either one of them. For this hand cream product, you don't need to squeeze a lot of them on your hand. Just squeeze about 1cm long of cream out and it is sufficient to cover both hands. You might feel a bit greasy/ oily at first, but after 1-2 minutes, the feeling will be gone and you will notice your hands become very smooth.

If you like to have more information, you can go to the Garnier official website to find out more. Or find it in the store to test it and read the informations provided at the back of the tube. The informations are quite detailed for a cosmetic product.

Skinfood Almond Milk Rich Foot Cream

Ok, i promised to do some introduction on products for feet so i'm gonna do it now =)

Anyway, i need to tell you guys how i get the product first haha. I was happily shopping with my bf at the Skinfood shop to get something for his mum, and I was happy because due to her large amount of purchase, i had my skinfood redemption card all stamped so i get to pick a free gift for myself haha. Despite how angry the shop assistant looks and how terrible her attitude was, i'm still happy to get a free foot moisturizing cream. Yes, i'm just trying to complain how rude that sales assistant was, she was like giving me the face as if i owed her million dollars. She is pretty but RUDE.

Anyway, i pick up the foot moisturizing cream as due to the weather and the frequency of me wearing slippers my feet became really dry. It's not cracking but still you can scratch off white flakes (the dead skins) from the edge of the feet. I find it disturbing and is determined to rectify this situation.

This foot cream is very moisturizing, it's kinda like the shea butter body lotion from Bodyshop. It smells nice too. I would advice people to actually apply it before sleep as you won't need to walk around to prevent falling down due to the slippery feet haha. Also, it is to prevent people from getting fungal infections e.g. Athlete foot when they put on socks straight after applying the cream.

So i have tried it for a few days and i quite like the effect of the cream, it's extremely moisturizing not like some of the cream they tend to be very easily vaporated, this stay on the skin and is slowly being absorbed.

My first foot cream and hopefully it will be so great that i dun need to look for a 2nd option =)

Skinfood Black Bean Nose Pack

I always have a problem to deal with the blackheads and whiteheads on my nose as i have several experience of over-squeezing them which left scars on my nose for few days. That was embarrassing! Tried using scrubs too but they are too invasive and make my skin peeled off together with the dirts. And AGAIN, scars =.=

Then my bf introduces me Skinfood Black Bean Nose Pack. He said it is very effective for him so he gave me some to have a try. How thoughtful =) Anyway, at first i wasn't sure about using it cos i scare it will screw up my nose again. But then since i have it, i might as well just try. When i sticked it onto my nose, first thing i noticed is the black bean smell. It wasn't too bad to be honest, i kinda like that smell haha. Then i just left it on my nose for 10-15mins until it is dried and hardened. The peel off process was great. It is best to peel off at light speed cos it will pull out all the black and white heads. Surprisingly, my nose skin remained. I was about to shout YEY cos this is the first time my nose was not ruined.

This is how the pack looks like. One pack contains 5 pieces and i normally use one every 3-5 days depends on my nose's condition. It is not feasible to use it when you have a clean nose right? So ya, one pack can last for about 1 month for me.

The instructions are all clearly written on the package. Basically i use a cleanser to wash my face first to let the pores open. It will be better if you use warm water as heat can accelerate the opening of the pores. Then with the help of a few drops of water on your nose, stick the nose patch tightly. Be careful not to touch the nose pack surface with wet fingers as it will make it ineffective. It looks like they really pound the blackbean into powder mix with starch or something to make them stay as one piece lol. The point is, it looks fragile so please handle with care to make it effective.

After 10-15 minutes, pull it out quickly. I usually check the nose patch to see which area has more black heads. Then i check my nose as some black heads tend to be very tough to be pulled out so i will just use my fingers and a tissue to remove them. If you are going to do it, make sure your nails are short so that you don't scratch your own skin. Also, you need find a certain angle to squeeze them out easily. If still doesn't work, stop trying. Your skin is more important than a small black head. After u pull out the nose patch, there will be some black residue on the nose, just rinse it with water.

Last important step, use a toner to close up the pores as you don't want to accumulate dirts/oil in your recently cleaned pores right? This is important, if you do it, you'll get a shiny and clean nose =)

That's all for today. May you have a blackhead-free skin!

DIY Beetle Nail

Nowadays people like to do manicure and pedicure to make their nails look pretty. And because of the bad economy, people like to do things all by themselves, thus my favourite word = DIY. Sometimes it might even be better to do it yourself cos you get to customize the style and everything. Best thing is, DIY can stimulate the brain for more creativity and discover more possibilities, which is AWESOME!

Today is beauty day so i think it's good to tell you guys about my first and only nail art i've done. Last weekend when i was shopping in Jusco, i saw like SASA is doing some promotion on the nail polish so i went to take a look. The nail polish looks v high quality and they selling them at RM10.90 for 2 bottles so i quickly dig in the piles and discovered 2 colours that i like. One is kinda like a dark Tiffany & Co green and the other is a low-profile-bling-bling blue.

Didn't think of doing nail art at first because i was so satisfied with the green itself already.

However after a while, i thought maybe doing some variations would be a great experiment since i never do it before. So, i used a cotton swab to add in some orange spots. Never really use the orange nail polish as the colour is too dramatic for me and i've only used it to test the black cracking nail polish effect. And guess what, cotton swab is a great tool to create the little orange spots on the nail =)

Yes, i used green and orange, which are two totally not related colours. But the effect was actually quite cute and looks like beetles haha.

Decided to do something different with the thumbnails so i used the new blue nail polish i bought to create stripes which was also achieved by using the cotton swab. However this time i squeezed the cotton swab a little bit so that it can stay hard enough to do the stripes.

And yeah, here goes my first and successful nail art =)

From Single to Double!

So a few weeks before, when i woke up in the morning, i found that my left eyelid has funnily become double eyelid. I had this kind of experience before but normally it will resolve back to my normal single eyelid. However, not this time i guess. I had this "big small eyes" since then and the double eyelid seems to becoming permanent.

So this is my picture when i still have the so called " big small eyes" lol.

The difference is so obvious! My left eye is literally bigger than my right one. It happens way before i went to Vietnam, that is why i didn't take much pics during the trip. Sad.

That would be me suffering from the heavy air pollution in Vietnam when we having tricycle tour in town.

Recently i had enough of this situation as i am not able to get a pic of me with two equally big eyes. A solution is needed! So, i recall that people used to get the eyelid stickers to transform their single eyelid to double. Why don't i try that? Went to shopping and randomly bought a packet of eyelid stickers. Trying has no harm anyway.

And guess what, they have 60 pairs in it so i get to use it for 120 times since i'm only sticking one eye yeah! Good investment as it only costs me like 6 or 7 ringgit.

Sticking the stickers on the eyelid is not exactly comfortable but I guess i'll get used to it soon. Short pain is better than long pain haha.

That's me with my eyelid sticker on =) Can't stop admiring my big eyes lol.

I know it's not a new product on market, just want to share my experience of using it anyway haha. That's all for today =)

It's Skin Mango White Cleansing Foam + Power 10 Formula YE Effector

Today, I'm gonna share the pleasant surprise i've gotten in my Vietnam trip =)

So, that trip was horrible overall but the last night walk in Hanoi was great. Best part was the sales assistants of It's Skin handing me the samples of their products, including the Mango White Cleansing Foam and Power 10 Formula YE Effector. I was actually quite surprise as she gave me two types of products which is considered quite generous as i looked 100% like tourist and didn't look keen to buy anything from them either. Have to say they are very well-trained in serving potential customers. 5 stars for that =)

The nearly finished samples that I was given. Love the cleansing foam. The effect was unexpectedly good! First when i saw the texture which contains those little bits, I was worried that they might be too strong and hurt my skin tissue. However when i apply the foam on my face, i can barely feel the bits. Surprise, surprise~! The after effect was great, I feel even more refreshing compared to my previous cleansing cream (Just to be clear, I used to LOVE my old Olay Clarity Fresh Cleanser before i try this ). Plus, it makes my skin feel so natural without the tightening feel i used to experience from the other cleanser which i forgot which brand it is. Oh and btw, it smells good =)

On the other hand, after applying toner, i used the YE effector, which consist yeast, a popular ingredient nowadays in making facial products. First time, I accidentally squeezed too much and apply too heavily on my face, which was not a pleasant experience as it makes my skin feel like i had botox or something. However, 2nd time, i've learnt my lesson so i apply it in minimal amount and turned out great. After applying it for a few minutes, i actually feel like my skin is flawless (I know how weird it looks when i touch my own cheek and smile @.@). Great product!

The actual look of the product. On the left we have Mangowhite Cleansing Foam and on the right is the YE effector.

When i google around, i come across this website which sells these products in USD and have clear explanation on all the products, so i 'll just share them here so people who are interested can have a read.

Oh and in case you are kpop fans, It's Skin is endorsed by 2PM.

These will be my sharings for today =)
