Fashion Wednesday is back!
Well, as a matter of fact, i just want to share with you guys the new clothes i've gotten recently and how i plan to style them.
I've gotten a skirt and a sleeveless jacket from ASOS, and the top from SEEDS has been slightly mentioned in the SS post.
The skirt is the main point here. As i don't usually get pieces with many colours, i would like to keep it as simple as possible. So, a one shoulder white top from H&M will be sufficient. Also the belt is to cover up the edge of the skirt to make it look like a one piece dress. A thicker belt will have a better effect though.
The detail of the skirt. It has lots of cars on top lol. I find it interesting and funny which is why i get the skirt. Also the material is very light. Soft and silky. With this youthful skirt, i would suggest to pair with ballerina flats or other flats. What i'll go for is a beach look or youthful look.
Next, the sleeveless jacket. Very flowery. Therefore same rules apply. Simple pieces to go with it. This time i choose a dark colour tank top to emphasize the jacket, plus a yellow shorts which will make the whole look lively =) The belt is the same belt i showed for the skirt. This is a huge step forward for me in buying clothes. Never bought anything flowery before except for shoes. Anyway, a high-ankle sneakers will be great with this outfit. Sporty and lively look.
Close up for the jacket. The material is jeans fabric which makes the jacket shapes nicely especially on the collar when i wear it. High quality stuff. I would imagine a maxi skirt in black will create a nice rock/punk look with this jacket on the street.
Last piece, the top i got from the 70% sales in Malacca. Stripes is the new trend this summer, i guess i hit the jackpot buying this top haha. Like it mainly because of the assymetric look. Also find it interesting to combine two different stripes in one top. This would be a nice casual top which is ridiculously cheap. Cost me 10 over ringgit.
That's all for today. Hope you guys enjoy my amateur fashion talk hahaha.

SS: The Eventful Long Weekend
Hello people! Today is the start of my Special Series posts, I'm so excited about it =)
As i said last week, i went to Malacca with my parents for a wedding lunch and therefore we depart in the morning on Friday.
Puffy eyes as a result of waking up early in the morning.
Didn't manage to update anything on Friday as i spent most of my time on the car thanks to the crazy heavy traffic in Malacca. But still, there were some happy moments, such as getting new clothes at 50-70% off sales and meeting up with some old good friends.
Meeting friends with new top bought in the afternoon hahaha! I was talking so much with my two lovely friends that i nearly went voiceless at the end of the gathering. I guess i talk too much too furious haha.
And the most eventful day will be Sunday. Went to watch Fast & Furious 6 with my bf and ended up getting minor food poisoning therefore went home straight after the movie. I am suspecting the culprit to be the KFC chicken. Damn. Should never eat anything in the cinema again! Too dark too dangerous. The movie was quite good, especially all the action parts and the car racing parts. Excited to see the London landmarks that i went before. Well, it will be a long series like SAW so i'm guessing the movie is good as long as the car and action parts are good. Oh and their opening theme song was good! Love that song. It reminds me of Katy Perry's Alien.
So, today will be my first day cooking for my dad and i have some leftovers of vege this afternoon. Gonna make a fried udon using the leftovers as well as the experimenting sauces. Hope it will be nice! Will let you all know tomorrow =)

OOTDs From My Phone
Ok so, this is supposed to be a day when i talk about fashion stuff. However, i soon realize after 1 month that i dun really have so freaking much of things to talk about for this fashion corner. So, i will turn this fashion wednesday to freestyle wednesday lol. Sometimes, i will post about fashion when i have something to write about, if not i will post about... i dunno, maybe things that i love recently or things happened to me this week =)
Anyway, today i'll still post something related to fashion. Some of my OOTDs lol.
This is me when i was going to vote for the GE13 last Sunday. I assumed that the place will be quite hot and since 700 people is gonna vote in the same place, i expect a long queue too. That's why i picked the top. Then, since it's a serious thing, i thought i might just wear a jeans in case they need a formal look. But it turned out i'm just overworried lol. The scarf and necklace were just to accessorize the top as it will look v plain without them.
And, this is me when i was working at the hospital last time. Sorry for the wrinkles on the top lol. The top was actually a casual wear from H & M, but i thought i can make it looks more formal by tucking it into the skirt. And the skirt was actually a jeans-like material but since it's a dark navy colour, it doesn't look too bad for work.
And this, is just a piece from Zara which i found it inspiring. However, when i tried it on, the patterns shocked me. Didn't plan to see this Sunflower-like patches all over the top so i made up my mind NOT to get it lol. If it's not the sunflowers, i might actually buy it.
This is the outfit i wore when i went to Vietnam. The top is the same as the one i wore to vote (first pic). But this time i tuck it into the high-waist shorts. Also, i tied up my hair. Part of the reason was the heaty weather but also because it makes me look smart and neat as my hair was at the not-long-not-short period.
This is also taken from the Vietnam trip. Beatles top from H & M with the hat from Accessorizes. The T-shirt is to cover up my shoulders as the tour guide said we were going to visit some places that has outfit restrictions. The hat was just for accessorizing purpose haha.
Anyway, i'm a huge huge fans for H & M as clothes there are really cheap back in UK. Also, love Accessorizes but things are expensive/ above-average there. Love most of the Spain brands, including Zara, Bershka (they have great T-shirts), Pull & Bear, MNG, etc. Me and my friend went crazy when we went to Spain, and so excited to shop in Madrid.
So, that's all for today. =)

My Handbags Criteria
Fashion Wednesday!
Today's theme will be... BAGS!
I am not a person who have lots of different types of bags for different occasion. I'm more of a one-bag-go-everywhere person haha. So when it comes to the point that i need to buy a bag, i'll make sure it matches with lots of outfits, mainly casual and smart-casual style.
Colour: I love original leather colour. The brown - dark brown series. People might ask, if i want to match all outfits, why dun i get a black bag. But the fact is, i dun like black bags. Especially dyed leather in black. If you get a black fake leather bag, it will start peeling off like a snake skin after a while. I once had a yellow leather sling purse which was a birthday present from a friend. And yes it's not usable now because of the reason i just said. Which is totally disgusting. So ya, if you want to get a leather skin bag, get an authentic one. Fake one is NASTY.
Material: Like i said just now. I like bags with some leather touch. Preferably soft leather. This is because i used to have lots of stuff to put in my bag when i was in uni, so a hard leather will not have the flexibility to stretch and fit all the stuff in. But this is a BAD practice! You are not supposed to stuff in lots of things into a handbag, it will accelerate the process of spoiling it. I learn that now, so I forbid my mum from putting a few bottle of water in my bag and she just NEVER gets it.
Size: I dun like small purse to hold in the hand when going out as i am very absent-minded. I hate large gigantic bag too as it makes me look 10 years older than my actual age. The best size would be medium. With at least 3-4 compartments. Dun like over-designed bag too cos it will be difficult to match with clothes.
This is one of my favourite bag i had which i bought at the J. Ferry factory outlet. It's a Japan brand and i bought it at 50% discount price. It's now half-retired because the straps are broken-ish. Don't want to make it look too bad so i store it up in a hotel laundry bag for now. The leather is soft and this is the colour that i was talking about. It matches with all my outfits and the design was good too. It has lots of compartments inside so i won't mix up everything in the bag. I'm a very organised person so my least favourite bag would be Longchamp. I know it's very popular nowadays, almost everyone has one, fake or real. But i seriously hate it.
This would be the latest bag that i bought when i traveled to Spain with a friend after graduation. Bought it mainly due to the fact that it has a lot of England landmarks on the body of the bag. It can be hold by the leather handle or can be a cross body messenger bag =) And since i've understood the concept of do-not-overstuffed-the-bag, the bag still look brand new yey!
The next bag i'm going to get will be smaller than this one, as i'm no longer in uni so i don't have notes, bottle and pencil box to put in my bag. But still i need something with a handle to hold or long belt to make it a sling bag. Maybe something like a chanel classic flap bag? Oh well, maybe not now haha.

DIY Ombre Jeans
Ok so i am supposed to be talking about my DIY bleached jeans today. However looking at the result, i'm guessing i'll just talk about how i did it haha. It's not bad, just that i think i need to do more stuff to make it look fashionable when i wear it.
First step, u need to find a pair of unused jeans or a piece of jeans fabric to test the efficiency of the bleach+water mixture. The mixture ratio i used was 1 bleach+2water. I used one of my old denim shorts to do the testing and decide whether more bleach or more water should be added.
After the testing round, i am satisfied with everything so i put in my green jeans which i never really wear before as after i bought it i realize the colour is not exactly what i was aiming for. It's a little bit too yellowish thus too heavy and make my hips look big =.= I want to transform that jeans to make it something i will wear. My idea was to do an ombre jeans, which has a bleached lower part.
When i first put the jeans in the mixture, i put it too low which is why there is a stripe of light green in the middle after i adjust the portion of jeans in the mixture. I am a little bit worried but I'll just let it be for a while as i can't do anything to reverse that.
It is extremely normal to see uneven bleached spots during the first few minutes of the process.
My jeans took about 1 hour for the whole process. And i'm not sure why but the lowest part of the jeans seems to create it's own ombre style with that pale green underneath. That was a nice surprise. However, I'm not sure if it's a good proportion.
This is how it looks like after it's dried. I'm thinking maybe a second bleaching session will make it better. Next time, i'll bleach the whole jeans as i kinda like the bleached colour.

Boots, without overheating my legs!
Sometimes i wonder, how did i go from a girl with only a pair of sneakers and a pair of flats to a lady who owns like over 10 pair of shoes. It's a massive progression lol. Thanks to my mum for the previous state and thanks to my uni mates for my latest state haha.
I have a mysterious love for ankle boots. Part of the reason is that boots make my legs look long and slim. Since i feel that it is quite ridiculous for me to wear a long boots in this crazy heat, i put my eyes on ankle boots =) Another thing is, i LOVE heels, they make me look taller haha. So ya the final choice would be ankle boots with heels. And not any height can do, i only wan those 3 inch heels as short heels doesn't make much changes and way-too-high heels will break my ankles.
Zara has good ankle boots all the time, bought a pair suede ankle boots last time which is still one of my favourite shoes in the closet. It was a steal, they sold it at 15 pounds after a 50% reduction.
So im now gonna introduce a few types of ankle boots which i like recently =) Just about the style and not about where you can get it lol. I'll explain why.
And, that's all for today. The reason why i didn't reveal the brands is because i think there are lots of similarly designed shoes available on the market which you can get it for a much lower price and that's what i am looking for. The most important thing is you like it and you WILL wear it. And sometimes if i have really pricey shoes, i might not wear it that often as i'll scare it gets dirty or spoilt etc. So ya, style is more important than the brand =)

A really simple design of a basic ankle boots. The cutting is really smooth and nice with this nude colour, u can match it with anything.
A slightly special pair of boots. I like the colour as it is refreshing, also not forgetting the special texture they having. And this item itself is a pleasant surprise already and it will be a huge success to wear it for outing/dating.
Cooler pair of boots. With the leopard print, it will be suitable for a wilder outfit. I like the fact that it is not the usual leopard print colour as this tone is more mysterious. The low-profiled luxurious feel.
I share this just because it looks really special. However, after having a closer look, i don't think i like it that much anymore as it has too many types of texture in one item, which is kinda too complicated for me.
This one, is an elegant lady's shoes. Can't wait to see how the feet will magically slim down after fitting in this pair of heels! Love the cutting and everything. It's elegant and you can wear it for formal events AND casual outings.
Ok, not really a fan of the colour tone but i like the design of this item. However, you need a fair skin tone to be able to rock this pair of shoes i think. With a fair skin tone, you will be able to create the peek-a-boo feel.

More prints!
Today, let's talk about my next shopping target =)
Just to be clear, I'm not a person who read fashion magazines and make great effords to look fashionable. I just follow my own instinct of shopping so my choice might be very outdated or so but I DON'T CARE.
After watching Project Runway season 10, I have been inspired to try getting more colourful clothing since I've been wearing monotone clothes and the most colourful pieces i have are checkered tops and dress. Not exactly like single bright yellow or neon pink those kind of colourful but more of a tie dye or ombre type of colourful.
Love this print and the story of the print! Can't believe an X-ray photo can turn out to be this amazing. Have to say if i have the budget, I'll definitely get that pencil skirt on the right. The design is pretty basic, which is totally my cup of tea. Since my code of fashion was pretty much simple and NO bling bling. I dunno what kind of code is that but, oh well.
Another unaffordable love, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania collection. Love the tone of the dress, it's simple yet looks complicated. Bonus point is how the head on the garment peeking at the model's face.
Cool leggings by Alexander McQueen. Too bad i'm in a country which has super hot weather so wearing leggings will be a crazy idea. Pretty sure if i do it i'll be sweating like hell and cursing myself for making such a idiotic decision of wearing leggings. (Not intended to scold anyone who love wearing leggings regardless the hot weather. To wear or not to wear, it's your own decision )
For a more affordable option, ASOS is my first visited website. Used to love ASOS when i was studying in UK as they provide free delivery and free refund. Best part is the refund booth is just opposite my apartment which encourage me to get more try more and refund more. It was crazily easy.
This printed dress is from Warehouse, which is quite cool if you keep the black and white colour tone and add in little bit of leather factor in the overall style. It can be a good everyday wear as it is actually a very simple basic dress.
I have to say, I'm still a big fan of black and white as well as leather stuff despite the fact that i said i want to try something new like prints and stuff. Guess i'm too loyal to monotone lol.
Now, time for some jeans!
I have gained interest in a London brand recently which is called Pepe Jeans, from the name you'll know they do lots of jeanswear. They have quite a number of interesting jeans available on ASOS. I'm now showing 3 of them here =)
Quite cool huh? They are fun and vibrant and you just need a simple T-shirt or top to match with them. As for shoes, high ankle sneakers or heels or boots, anything will do!
So, interesting prints will be my fashion code this spring/summer =)
